Welcome to our Business Intelligence (BI) Services & Data Governance team, part of Group IT

Our global Group IT function of +200 employees deliver business critical applications and infrastructure for the full value chain from sales to manufacturing and distribution for the GN Group and several of our subsidiaries (GN Group cover the global scope of GN Hearing and GN Audio).

As our new Data Transformation Lead, you will be based at our global HQ, located in Ballerup Denmark, and report to Head of BI Services & Data Governance, Søren Christensen.

“We are on an exciting data governance journey at GN, where we want to take it to the next level across the organization w.r.t. how we structure our data and how we ensure accurate, reliable data quality throughout the whole IT landscape. As our new colleague, you will help us make sure that we stay on the right track on this journey”, explains Søren Christensen.

You will join a team of 50 technical, cooperative, and encouraging colleagues located in Denmark, Europe and in China, who are all looking forward to welcoming you to the team.

Data stewardship

As part of our data governance journey, your primary responsibility is providing data leadership of specific cross-functional strategic projects and initiatives (what we call SI’s) in collaboration with your manager and stakeholders. You will develop and implement strategies for enhancing and harmonizing our data management approach and delivery for data quality, migration, governance and designing practices.

You are also accountable for securing that the project deliveries are within scope, budget, and time in collaboration with data management project teams that are involved in each specific project.

We currently have several complex SI’s in the pipeline, incl. how our master data is currently being used – and how it can be optimized – for our new ERP platform D365, which we have recently implemented across GN Audio.

More specifically, you will:

  • Create and maintain project plans for Data Management team deliveries

  • Collaborate with key SI stakeholders to build feature requirements for SI’s and align on prioritization continuously and in wave planning

  • Ensure proper resource allocation is available from Data Management teams in collaboration with team managers

  • Drive Data Management team integration into IT ways of working processes including Agile and ADO

  • Develop data management and data governance strategies in collaboration with data management team managers and drive implementation projects

  • Ensure SI’s and other project activities are successfully handed over to Data Management team

  • Part of the core team of transforming our existing data governance structure

  • Collaborate with colleagues in Denmark and abroad

Sound good so far? Here’s what you’ll need to succeed

We imagine that data is a part of your DNA and that you can navigate in a dynamic, global organization with multiple touch points. You consider yourself equally practiced in designing and implementing solutions.

Furthermore, you are a team-player thriving collaborating with others. At the same time, you work independently and maintain initiative.

You are also an able communicator and stakeholder manager, since you work with cross-functional, global internal stakeholders throughout the organization. Your stakeholders are primarily within Operations/Supply Chain, Finance, Sales and in Group IT – mainly with application ownership departments.

Moreover, we imagine that you have:

  • Relevant experience from a similar position focusing on master data management, BI or other relevant areas with data ownership, whereby you have a deep knowledge of master data, data management, governance and designing practices– preferably from a intricate organization with an international presence

  • A relevant higher educational background – perhaps within IT, engineering, or other technical fields

  • Project-, and/or Product Owner experience

  • Change management experience

  • The desire to listen to others, can influence your colleagues in a constructive way and are able to transform our way of working

  • A well-developed knowledge of agile methods and processes are clear advantages, but not prerequisites for the position

To be successful in your new role, it is important that you can “transform” organizational requirements into solid technical solutions. Ensuring customer satisfaction - by securing SI project deliveries are within scope, budget and on time in a transparent way are your top priorities.

You should also expect to travel 5-10 days a year to visit your colleagues outside of Denmark. These days of travel will be able to plan in advance.

Fluent written and spoken English qualification

As an international organization with colleagues in over 50 different countries, our official company language is English. It’s essential that you can communicate effortlessly with your colleagues, no matter where they are.

Our modern workplace offers plenty of different benefits and flexibility to keep us happy and healthy and allow us to focus on what matters to us in and outside of work. We hope you are curious to explore and engage in the recruitment process with us.
