In the PMO we are responsible for making sure we stay on track and continuously align on priorities and capabilities across the business and help facilitate that we make the best use of the people and assets we have available. We are a strong sparring partner towards senior and line management as well as project managers facilitating that we as a business make the best decisions possible in an ever-changing world.

To take our portfolio ambitions to the next level we are rethinking our ways of working and that means bringing the PMO even closer to the business than what we have seen in the past. Doing that, however, requires that we have a strong PMO that can deliver a high-quality data foundation for decision making in a structured and professional way – and this is where you come into the picture.

Help us bring our portfolios to the next level

Taking on the role of R&D Operations Controller, you will be responsible for securing that we have the right data on funding, budgets and resources available at the right time to the right people in a format that we can use to take data driven decision-making across R&D.

Specifically, you will:

  • Facilitate the project budget process securing input and alignment around the annual budget creation as well as monthly follow-ups with our Portfolio Partners and Line Managers throughout the year ensuring that we stay within the agreed boundaries.

  • Provide support for our Product Development Units and Platform Teams focusing on improving performance and efficiency.

  • Provide various types of analysis for forecasting, benchmarking, and learning purposes supporting R&D management in decision-making.

  • Maintain key project information within PMO databases to secure a solid data foundation enabling sound and data-driven decision-making.

  • Develop and maintain our reporting setup enabling our data to come to life and create value for the business.

  • Work closely with our Portfolio Partners and Systems and Data members of the team to improve PMO capabilities, streamline processes and support our digitalization journey.

What we have to offer

Joining our team, you will gain immense knowledge of how to run a Development Organization during times of change. You will help mature and refine the structure and processes for how we efficiently manage our R&D organization in our new highly cross-functional setup and with new portfolio management tools to support this transformation. You will gain a large network as you will communicate with many different functions in management and projects – including Finance and Line- and Project Management in R&D. It will be challenging, exciting – at times it will be chaotic – and it will be hugely rewarding as you will find a great potential for personal and professional growth.

People skills and business acumen
Being a part of PMO requires a unique set of skills that comes with experience. In this role we are looking for someone with a background in finance and/or economics, but as importantly we are looking for someone who can create structure, has an analytical mindset, is business smart and who wants to be part of building a PMO fit for the future.

Our ideal candidate has:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree within a finance, economics, supply chain or business-related field.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and experience analyzing and interpreting data and communicating results and trends as a basis for decision making.

  • A structured mindset and an ability to execute according to a drumbeat, yet still being open to and identifying opportunities for improvement.

  • Great stakeholder management skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (verbal and written).

You will be part of a small team where we are highly dependent on each other to succeed and where you will be the PMO’s primary interface to our finance organization, and you will likely have some experience in a similar role.
