RF Systems Engineer
Do you have experience developing RF circuits for wireless devices? And do you want to work with the newest technology in a fast-moving environment and company?
Then join us as our new RF Systems Engineer for the R&D Hardware Engineering team in Jabra where we develop the best hands-free audio devices in the world.
Welcome to GN Audio – home of Jabra
At GN Audio in Ballerup, you will join the R&D Hardware Engineering team alongside colleagues in Denmark, China and US who are responsible for all hardware-related design aspects of development projects. We develop innovative headsets, speakerphones and meeting room video solutions for the Jabra brand that make life look and sound better.
We are an innovative, professional team that is currently going through a thrilling process as we focus on delivering high-quality products with exciting user functionality and optimizing the development processes so we can get products on the market quicker without compromising on quality.
Market leading audio and video products
As our new RF Systems Engineer, you will develop RF circuits and systems for professional and consumer products with DECT, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi radio systems. You will typically contribute from early concept phase until launch of product on the market, and contribute to developing our internal processes, tools and know-how.
You will contribute with new ideas for innovative hardware design, and in the process, grow your skills even further. With your solid technical background and keen ideas of how to organize workflows, you will be the cornerstone in optimizing, coordinating, and structuring the design and processes.
Areas of responsibility:
· Design and implementation of RF systems and HW system integrations
· Characterize radio transmitter and receiver performance as well as components like PA, FEM, RF-switches, filters etc.
· Interacting with silicon technology providers on specifications and requirements
· Design verification of prototypes including RF and EMC measurements
· Launch initiatives to improve our technology, methodology or processes
Work in an environment with the newest technology – and room to play
At GN Audio, you will have access to high-quality development tools, R&D laboratories, test facilities and the newest technologies. You will be working closely with our RF team, which includes an RF systems design engineer and two Antenna Design Engineer colleagues and will naturally also collaborate with colleagues from other disciplines, including but not limited to software engineering and our regulatory affairs certification specialists.
“We constantly strive to be the best in our field, challenge our knowledge and test the boundaries for technology – and we want you to do so too. Have an idea? Grab your manager and a cup of coffee – we’ll gladly hear you out,” says Morten Schmidt, Hardware Engineering Manager.
Experienced RF circuit design engineer with great collaboration skills
With a broad experience within RF circuit design, you know your product development, including circuit simulation, circuit design, measurement techniques and regulatory standards, and problem solving.
As an enthusiastic and creative person, you do not always take the conservative road, but look at design challenges with a fresh eye. You are comfortable making decisions in a changing environment, and with a can-do mindset and motivated nature, you strive to follow projects all the way through from idea to production and have a capacity to support a few minor projects or tech studies along your primary project.
Additionally, we imagine that you have:
· A relevant education such as BSc in electronics engineering or similar
· Broad experience with RF circuit and system design, simulation, measurement, and troubleshooting
· Solid experience with EMC and Type Approval of wireless systems
· Good communication and collaboration skills in English – if you speak Danish, it is an advantage
Further, it will be a plus if you also have:
· Experience with several of the following standards: BT, BLE, DECT, WiFi
· Experience with antenna design and/or integration
· Experience with general hardware circuit design
· Experience with design and measurement of high-speed digital signals/systems
Perhaps you have just a few years of experience, or perhaps you have already enjoyed a long career designing RF systems. We can accommodate an individual eager to learn fast, or a more experienced individual who is a master of his craft.
