At GN Hearing, we develop innovative hearing solutions with great sound quality and excellent design to ensure that hearing aid users will be able to hear more, do more, and be more.
At our HQ in Ballerup, you will become part of the Products and platforms team in Systems Engineering. This function is located within the Research and Technology team in Global R&D, that consists of more than 60 highly skilled and engaged colleagues who provide advanced technical support and leadership within all development areas across all R&D sites.
You will become part of a diverse team of experts, counting seven different nationalities with team members in both Ballerup, Chicago, US and Eindhoven, NL. You will step into an environment where initiative and results are both valued and demanded. You will report to Senior Manager Mario Lucich and your daily work will be with your team and stakeholders.

What will you be doing?
As our new Systems Engineer, you are crucial in all stages of a development project, ensuring that a given product is properly specified and documented through requirements – that being hearing aids, wireless accessories, smartphone apps, cloud services or AI.
Typical tasks include:
- Conducting functional/operational analysis to identify key system requirements and dependencies
- Defining the system of interest, including system boundaries, inputs, and outputs
- Establishing system demarcation, context, and system interfaces
- Writing and reviewing requirements as well as maintaining the requirements in our requirement systems
- Participating in scope discussions and driving the requirements elicitation process, leading from user needs, business needs, and regulatory requirements into well-documented requirements suitable for product development
- Contributing to and creating corporate procedures that are related to requirement management and system engineering
- Participating in defining best practices for all system and requirements engineering issues

- You have experience within development of medical devices
- Your excellent communication skills enable you to create good relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- You are persistent and highly analytical as well as flexible and able to keep the bigger picture in mind while having an eye on the important details. Moreover, you:
- You hold a master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar
- You have a mindset acknowledging the importance of following processes and living up to regulations
- You have a good eye for customer needs, hold the customer in focus throughout the development, and ensures that we add value to our users
In addition, it will be an advantage that
- You have several years of experience within development of complex products and systems
- You have some years of experience within systems engineering
- You have experience with agile development, preferably SAFe
- You have a good understanding of regulatory requirements and business processes in the medical device industry – or any other regulated industry
Fluent written and spoken English skills
