As a Software Designer, you will develop and test the EBICAB 2000 Onboard Software, according to a defined EN50128 compliant SIL4 SW development process. The program is installed in locomotives, acting as an aid for the driver to ensure safe train operation.
You will be responsible for creating a design based on the requirement specifications and other steering documents. Implement the design (coding). Develop and maintenance of simulators, analyzers and other tools that are needed.
The safety critical nature of the product introduces special restrictions on design and implementation, and places focus on testability, robustness, and availability.
You will be working in one of several scrum teams, interacting with colleagues from other countries, mainly Germany, India, and Thailand.
Your key responsibilities?
Write SW requirement, specify SW design (UML), specify SW Test case
Implement design items
Create Test cases with VectorCast
Create Test and Verification Report
Analysis of Non-Conformity Reports
Requirement coverage verification
Organize and lead peer review meetings
Verify that allocated NCR are correctly implemented
Possess a Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Elecronics or other equivalent Engineering discipline
Programming skills in Object Oriented programming in the language C++
Knowledge of UML tools, VectorCAST, CM Synergy, IBM Rational Team Concert, DOORS desired
Good communication skills in English
