Specialist Market Analysis E-Mobility

About the job

At Vattenfall we exist to help our customers power their lives in ever climate smarter ways and to become fossil free within one generation. E-Mobility is a big step towards our goal, help us achieve this by improving our hardware portfolio!

About Vattenfall InCharge

Our E-Mobility unit operates under the brand Vattenfall InCharge. Vattenfall InCharge currently operates more than 40.000 chargepoints in Sweden, Germany and the Netherlands. And our network is growing every day. With a volume over 100 million euro per year, we are one of the biggest investors in EV-Infrastructure in Europe. Our propositions are targetting both private as well as (semi-)pubic customers. We operate at business locations and a wide variety of municipalities and cities in Sweden, Germany and the Netherlands. Our business is based upon long term contracts that brings significant financial commitments.

Your role as Specialist Market Analysis E-Mobility - limited contract 1 year

In our international support team, you will be responsible for systematically analyzing the markets we operate in. You will work on recurring reports, as well as on preparing special ad hoc deep dives on prioritized topics.

Examples of recurring reports are:

  • Market shares of Vattenfall and direct competitors in respective segments

  • Competitor charging tariff / price comparisons

  • EV-penetration (realized and expected)

  • EV-Infrastructure roll-out

Deep dives reports can concern topics such as:

  • How are battery sizes of EV's expected to develop over time, and which impact will it have on charging needs and behaviour of EV-drivers?

  • How are energy wholesale prices expected to develop, and to which extent can charging tariffs for EV-drivers follow the wholesale market?

  • When, where and how will a market saturation of EV charging infrastructure be reached?

Your work will be grounded in respected external sources, combined with data from our reporting environment. Together with the PO Reporting, you will translate resources into transparant and easy to use databases. You will automate your work as much as possible. Occasionally, you will provide trainings for internal users. And you will organize your own internal marketing.

You will closely work with various stakeholders, such as local sales teams, the PO Reporting, the Pricing Manager and the VP E-Mobility. Your work will be used both to evaluate, as well as to plan commercial decisions. This also means that your work will underpin the BU business planning to a large extent. We expect you to be pro-active in driving and priortising our commercial research agenda.

We see you being based in our brand new office in Berlin or Stockholm. We offer part-time work-from-home flexibility. Regular travels are expected.

The Specialist Business Valuation will report into the Manager Governance and Support of Business Unit E-Mobility.
